90-Day Suboxone Prescription

Can I get a

90 Day Suboxone prescription in Florida?

Yes

InChargeClinic patients (Florida Residents) that meet criteria & qualify for our Goal 90 Program may receive a 90-day Suboxone (buprenorphine/naloxone) prescription.

What is the Goal 90-Day Program?

The Goal 90-Day Program is for individuals who have met the milestones & personal objectives of the Long-Term / Chronic MAT program, have a mature understanding of how Opioid Use Disorder has affected them and continue to take charge controlling the long term impact. They have learned about and considered alternatives-- may even considered or even tried alternatives such as weaning or long-acting monthly injections.

These Individuals are OUD Survivors.

They have found that Suboxone is a tool that helps them control the symptoms of the disease, prevent relapse, and they have taken it as part of daily life for a very, very long extended period.

We think it's stupid to treat an OUD Survivor like someone in early recovery who is undergoing struggles with triggers, needing group and identifying support systems, close support and frequent dose adjustments for recurrent withdrawal symptoms.

Life returned to normal months and years ago-

the acutely ill time is long gone.

Medication is routine.

Monthly visits, limited prescriptions, demands for frequent drug testing can become disruptive, expensive, even jeopardizing job attendance, and frankly, unnecessary for those who have taken charge of their OUD.

So at this point, we believe responsible individuals with well controlled uncomplicated OUD may be managed as a chronic condition with quarterly visits , interval check-ins and 90-day prescriptions, and provided options for care, like anyone else who has a chronic disease.

Transferring New Patient Info

Everyone transferring in has a new-patient visit and a required 2-week follow-up then moved to trial monthly visits.

During this time we get to know you, review your prior history, work jointly to develop a personal plan and goals, and establish what stage of recovery you are in by reviewing milestones for each program (Early, Stable, Chronic Long-Term).

With initial visits we also provide information regarding tapering and other alternatives specific for your situation so you can make an informed decision regarding long term Suboxone use.

No One Gets a 90 Day Prescription on Day 1.

IMPORTANT INFO

Getting a 90-day prescription filled or covered by insurance is not always possible.

Some pharmacies and insurance plans will not fill or cover a 90-day Suboxone prescription despite being legal in the State of Florida for those with carefully documented medical necessity.

Even if you qualify for Goal 90 Day Program, your supply may stay at 30 partial fill for total of 90 until your insurance plan and pharmacy allow it or to demonstrate compliance in a probationary style and allow processing.

One of our strategies includes involving your Pharm-D with your plan to begin with and advise them well before you graduate to the Goal 90 Day Program.

If needed we complete Prior Authorizations and work with you, your insurance company and the pharmacist when a 90-day fill is appropriate.

What if something happens?

Step-Back / Step-Up Track

This track is InChargeClinic's version of a safety net because things happen.

If signs of instability appear (return of harmful use, repeated lapses, missed testing, or worsening medical/psychiatric/social issues), we intensify services and temporarily return to every 1 or 2-week visits with 7 to 14-day prescriptions until stability is restored. Once resolved, you progress back to monthly (and later quarterly) visits
